Greetings from the Bat Lady!

Welcome to Bat Lady Herbals.  I have been fascinated by herbs and various herbal uses for quite a few years now.  Plants are amazing things full of unique chemical cocktails that our bodies use for nutrition and healing.  There are over 100 different chemicals in a single leaf!  This allows for so many possibilities, and this blog is intended to help you tap into those and help to make you super excited about herbs, just like me!

Topics I plan on covering include learning about the herbs in my back yard, cooking healthy and healing foods for myself and my family, making several herbal preparations to promote good health, herbal crafts, and making natural household supplies.  I might also discuss some of the herbal world’s animal and human allies, but this blog is, first and foremost, all about herbs and how wonderful the botanical world can be.

    1. There are quite a few, but I would recommend finding an herbalist in your area that can consult with you as quite a few herbs can interact with medications you may be taking. If you'd like to discuss things further, please email me at BatLadyHerbals@gmail.com

  3. I have a plant that grows in my yard. I am not sure of it's identity. It grows right around the dollar weed. It doesn't look exactly like the gotu kola in your video. I would be so gracious if your would let me know your thoughts on what this is. Tastes like lettuce, to me. Well, I am unable to post a photo. However, if you email me, that would be easy to do. I am trying to cook for my dogs and have been feeding them the wild dandelion and dollar weed. This "gotu kola" may be a God send as well, to include in our diets! mskitowhawk@cox.net Love and Light for the Greater Good!
